Summary
We collect only what we need to run Drive Sure for you: an account email/password (when you sign in), the VIN/ZIP/mileage you enter for a lookup, the deal numbers you save, and basic device info needed to deliver the App. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Information you provide
Account: your email and password (handled by Supabase Auth — passwords are hashed; we never see them in plain text). App inputs: VINs, ZIP codes, mileage, asking prices, trade values, fees, APR, term, notes, and similar fields you type. Support: any message you send us through the in-app contact link.
2. Information collected automatically
When you use the App, our infrastructure may receive standard technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, and timestamps. If product analytics are enabled in a build, we may collect aggregate usage events that do not include raw VINs or full payment numbers.
3. Third-party services we use
Supabase (authentication, database, edge functions): processes your account credentials and stores your saved VIN reports, deal calculations, notes, and similar data on our behalf. MarketCheck (vehicle pricing and listings): we send the VIN, ZIP, and mileage you submit for a lookup so they can return market value, comparable listings, and dealer information. Their privacy practices apply to that exchange. NHTSA vPIC (free U.S. government VIN decoder): we send the VIN to retrieve year, make, model, trim, and similar specs when needed. Apple App Store / TestFlight: distribution and crash reporting per Apple’s policies. RevenueCat: subscription billing and entitlement management for Drive Sure Pro. Sentry: anonymous crash and error reporting (no raw VINs, emails, or payment data).
4. How we use your information
To run the features you request (decode a VIN, return a market estimate, save a deal). To authenticate you and keep your account secure. To improve the App (debugging, fixing errors, planning features). To respond to support messages. To comply with legal obligations.
5. Sharing of information
We share information only with the third-party providers above, only to the extent needed to provide the feature you used. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights and safety.
6. Data retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Saved items (VIN reports, deal calculations, notes) remain until you delete them or delete your account. Backups and operational logs may persist for a limited time after deletion under our standard retention practices.
7. Your choices
You can edit or delete saved VIN reports, deals, and notes from inside the App. You can change your password from the Settings screen. You can delete your account permanently from Settings → Account → Delete account. To request a copy of your data, email support.drivesure@gmail.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Children
Drive Sure is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. U.S. state privacy rights (CA, CO, CT, VA, UT, etc.)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Contact support.drivesure@gmail.com to exercise these rights. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
10. International users
The App is intended for use in the United States. Pricing data is U.S. inventory only. If you access the App from outside the U.S., information you provide is processed in the U.S. and other locations where our providers operate.
11. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and authenticated database access. No system is perfectly secure; you use the App at your own risk and are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The "last updated" date below reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted in-app where reasonable.
